Principal

As founder of Locus Group, James oversees all aspects of online, brand and marketing solutions. A big believer in customer service and quality, James supports clients directly, establishing objectives and driving results. James is a qualified project manager and graphic artist and holds a B.Tech. Graphic Communications from Ryerson University in Toronto.

Before founding Locus Group, James worked for ten years for a diverse range of organizations, including a magazine start-up and large publishing companies in the private and public sector. In these roles, James was responsible for such activities as advertising design, editorial production, and prepress and production management for several mainstream consumer magazine titles and scholarly publications.

James helps law firms showcase their expertise and generate leads by delivering superior web design and next-generation marketing solutions including web presence optimization, social media and content marketing. Bringing a host of technical and creative experience together with top industry talent, James empowers his clients with the highest return for their marketing dollar.

Jonathan Mesiano-Crookston, B.Sc. Hons. Biochem., J.D.

Partner, Online and Content Solutions

Jonathan supports Locus Group with his knowledge of intellectual property, computer law, privacy law, and his technical knowledge, as well as with his knowledge of the professional legal industry.  Jonathan has a background in biochemistry, a Juris Doctor (law) degree, and is a barrister and solicitor and registered trade-mark agent.  His legal knowledge in the specialty areas of computer law, privacy law, and IP allow him to best advise clients as to how to roll-out and protect their on-line presences.  And his copyright and trade-mark law knowledge allow him to provide end-to-end brand protection advice, an imperative in the on-line world.

In addition to working with Locus Group, Jonathan is a lawyer with Goldman Hine LLP and specializes in commercial and franchise litigation, IP, computer, and privacy matters.  His full bio is here.
